Coming to Rota by Boat
(August 2, 2025)
If you plan on bringing your powerboat, sailboat or yacht to Rota from Guam, Saipan or other parts of the world the following information may be helpful:
Requirements upon arrival through boat/vessel:
From Guam:
Advance notice of arrival at least 48 hours prior to CNMI Customs and Quarantine Service
Customs and Quarantine at the Seaport (670) 532-7327

You will need to get a port clearance before leaving Guam, which is available from Guam customs office located at the
Port Authority in the first building as you enter the facility on Cabreras Island.
U.S. citizens will need a valid identification with photo. Foreign visitors will need a passport.
Cargo Manifest (Commercial)
You will need to enter Rota's West Harbor to clear with Rota Customs and Quarantine upon arrival.
NOTES
At Rota's West Harbor there is limited dock space, no shore power available dockside, no dockside water and no
security. There are restroom facilities across the street from the dock in the completion stage as of April 10, 2026
If you need fuel - Gasoline or Diesel - The closest gas station is the Sasanhaya Service Station located in Songsong
village
just east of Rota's East Harbor boat basin and past the Mobil bulk plant.
Fuel is currently (March 10, 2026) $6.99 per gallon for gasoline and $9.02 per gallon for diesel cash prices. You will need to bring your own fuel containers.
It is 0.65 miles to the beginning of Songsong Village and 1.05 miles to the Sasanhaya Service Station from the West Harbor.
You should check with Rota Customs prior to coming to Rota for the current rules and regulations as they are
continually changing.
Rota also has a cement dock/boat basin on the east side of Songsong village within Sasanhaya Bay. Smaller boats
can tie up there and bigger boats, yachts or sailboats can anchor offshore and motor or row in by vessels small watercraft. There is no water,
no power, no restroom facilities, no public transportation and no security. It is close walking distance to the Post Office, gas station, banks, stores and restaurants in
the village.
